Free Alternatives to CO.CC – Free Doman Name Registration Services

Today I really found something very interesting. Most of us are familiar with free domain name registration service, but we are always looking for alternatives. Even I was looking out for free alternatives so today I found some free alternatives (domain name registration services and URL redirection services included in the list). I will quickly list the free alternatives. I would strongly recommend not to use such free services for your business or personal blog. They may shut down service at any time. I recommend Siteground Hosting which I currently use

Free Alternatives:

  1. .gq
  2. .tk
  3. .ga
  4. .ml

Note: These free services are never reliable. They can close your account anytime. It’s always advisable to buy a custom domain from Namecheap or GoDaddy.  Also never choose a free host if you are serious about your business. Always purchase hosting from reliable companies like Siteground

Enjoy! Feel free to post in your comments and suggestions.

There is also, but they are not responding to support requests and you can’t use the domain names because there has been at least a month where all you get is a database error. when you try to enter external nameservers.

  10. UNI.ME kicked the bucket long ago… and are the same piece of crap that have an active website but are totally inoperative “xxx just makes maintenance works” since at least mid-december 2012. The .CO.NR allows you to register and claim to approve/deny within 10 hours but after a week of waiting nothing happens.

    .CO.CC was the best

I would suggest you to get a domain from Namecheap or GoDaddy. Also Always purchase hosting from reliable companies. My host is A Small Orange Hosting and I would surely recommend them.

    • Yeah…you can’t just “steal” websites. That literally makes no sense.

      • Exactly that’s the reason I prefer buying domain names so that no one can steal whats mine.
