Top 3 HDTVs to Choose From in 2013

People just love getting new electronics, and if you’re into that sort of thing, HD televisions are something that any fanatic can get behind.

But it’s not enough to just go to the store and ask the employees which one the best is, you need to do your research so you know that you’re getting the best TV for your money.

To save you some time, here are four of the best HDTVs that you’ll want to check out in 2013:

Thought plasma TVs were outdated because they were some of the first HD sets to hit the market? Think again!  Consistently rated as one of the best TVs ever made, you simply cannot go wrong here for $1,800-$2,000.

OLED TVs may be better in terms of picture quality, but they’ll cost hundreds of dollars more. The black levels and color accuracy are some of the best we’ve seen on a plasma set, and it’ll be tough to match it.

Yet another plasma TV (see a trend here?), the Samsung panel shows us that price isn’t everything, because this is one of the best plasma panels out there. Not quite as good as the aforementioned Panasonic TV, but it’s close.

And for $1,600 or so, its performance is reflective of its price. The shadow detail and bright-room quality are phenomenal. Say goodbye to annoying glares and grayish blacks!

Sharp Elite PRO-60x5FD

This LCD panel offers superior black levels and better contrast than most other LCD and plasma HDTVs. In fact, we could argue that it’s the best TV on the market right now. But with a price of $4,375, it’s hard to put it at the top of list, when you can find quite similar performance in a Panasonic plasma TV.

That said, the 3D aspect ratio, color accuracy, black levels, and viewing and bloom angles, this is one top-notch TV.  If you’re looking for a quality TV to replace your dated set, check these out when you’re in the store next time. You won’t be disappointed.
